Ah! Meisjes en klassieke Astons - dat brengt ons bij onze Friday Lady Tippi Hedren in The Birds van Hitchcock, nietwaar? Natuurlijk doet het dat. Niet alleen omdat het een verdomd goede film was, maar ook omdat ze op de top van haar carrière moet zijn geweest, rijdend in die delicate roadster. Het ongelooflijke is dat tot nu toe niemand de Drophead DB2/4 als de zijne heeft opgeëist. Zou dat kunnen betekenen dat de lhd auto, geregistreerd RUJ 655 op Californische nummerplaten, nog steeds wegkwijnt in een Amerikaanse schuur? Wie weet. Het zou tijd worden om die andere zilverkleurige filmauto, gebouwd in de Aston fabriek, te verlossen van zijn schijnbaar eeuwigdurende PR-reis. Dat hebben we nu wel gezien, dank u.

rectification on the previous information, as i could not find anything about the Aston used in the movie the Birds i checked the internet and found the chassis number LML944 and this is the correct number for the car used in the movie and during 2000 it was still in the USA

going trough the Aston Martin club register i can see that LML727 ended up in Germany in 1992 and also 1996 still whit the same owner, strange there is nothing mentioned that this was the Aston Martin used in the Birds, if the Aston Martin is still in Germany i dont know the Aston Martin Herritage probaly might do

Chassis LML727 was sold by Belgian dealer Marreyt Classics years ago

One of the few films where the sound of the car really belongs to the car, lovely that six cylinder all the way up in the revs, enclosed another friday lady with LML 688
good luck with the website

een van de weinige films waar het geluid van de auto echt bij de auto hoort, heerlijk die zes cilinder helemaal wat hoger in de toeren, bijgesloten nog een vrijdag dame met LML 688

The very rare left-hand drive Aston was owned by Jules Stein of MCA which owned Universal Studios. Stein leased the car to the production. Over the years the car saw several subsequent owners, ending up in Europe.
