Who doesn't love the Saab 93

The charming lady in the picture certainly loves the Saab. Why we are sure? We had the pleasure owning two of these beauties (the tin ones) in the early seventies. We nearly owned one in a very nice two tone bronze-gold metallis, a bit like the leaves outside are now. However somebody else was faster so we had to wait for the next option. That was a mossgreen example with full sliding Webasto linen sunroof.  Bought is at scrap value from the Amsterdam SAAB dealer 'De Snelheid' as the engine was missing. Bought a second one from a nearby Saab afficionado who had an ever changing line up of the short nosed cars from Trollhattan. This dark blue car had a great engine but had rolled over 4 0r 5 times thus leaving the panels all around looking like crumpled paper. Much to the honour of the car, the doors still worked and it was fully driveable, but also fully unpresentable. Anyway the 'dark blue'  made up for the very best car we owned before getting 20. And with respect to charming ladies. When we would turn up with the roaring two stroke hero, they would all turn their heads in the right direction.
