Built to a very high standard as a tribute to the legendary Mk. I RS2000, this 1970 Ford Escort has undergone a documented restoration before being transformed into the striking example offered today. Originally a standard Mk. I Escort finished in blue, DVLA records show it remained with its third registered keeper from 2000 until 2016 before passing to its next owner in 2017. During this ownership, the car was comprehensively rebuilt as an RS2000 evocation, faithfully recreating the appearance of Ford's iconic AVO-built performance Escort while incorporating carefully selected modern upgrades. It now forms part of a significant private collection and is offered for sale as the current owner reduces the collection.

Power comes from a 2.0 litre Ford Zetec 'Blacktop' engine fitted with twin Weber 45 DCOE carburettors, paired with a five-speed manual gearbox.
